It's crazy that has been almost 9 years since I left this site...
I guess that many things have change during that time, so we'll see what new things await for me here.
Hopefully people around would be more accepting of me now than they were back in the day... I mean, I wasn't the best animator then, but most of those comments I got were really uncalled for ^^;
@ZebraHumor @Linkerluis My best advice is to network with artists who don't expect perfection. I used to post stuff on here when I had like 2 fans and it went over a lot more poorly than it does now that I have 45. Don't be afraid of posting in the forums or leaving reviews for people. It is a good way to get them to your page.

As someone whose work is choppy and done on paint, I have gotten a lot of criticism over the years. A lot of it was fair, but some of it was unnecessarily mean. You just have to find your audience.

It was a long time ago so it's good, but sadly it was the last impression I got from the site after I left.
Hopefully people are more encouraging of amateur artist than they were back in the day. I mean not everybody is going to be the best animator or artist right away, you need to cultivate new talent.
But I get that maybe people had crazy high standards because it was the golden age of the site, they wanted everyone to be as good as the top animators and they didn't understand the process.
